Well, well, well.
Robert is making progress!
They will move him out of ICU as soon as a room is available. This is very good news. He is a lot more alert today, his voice is stronger and his numbers are all good and staying stable. He is very irritated at the n/j tube up his nose however, and asks everyone who enters the room, when he can have it taken out. He is having some expected confusion - getting him out of ICU should help tremendously.
I have been told repeatedly that pancreatitis causes damage to other organs. We learned yesterday that Robert did have a small heart attack. The cardiologist explained that when the pancreatitis is so severe, it sends quite a shock to the heart. When he is back on his feet, they will take a closer look to see if there is any reason to be concerned. He said it caused a very small amount of damage to the heart.
I am spending more and more time in his room because he is very aware when I am not in there! So I will update when I can. Pray for sleep - he hasn't had much! Come to think of it, neither have I...pray for us both to rest.

It's wonderful to see God's conforting hands upon him. Robert is very strong, and I know that he will need our continue prayers to be patient, and take one day at a time.
Mom and I are with you in spirit continuely, and staying in touch with Jeanette....I hope Robert, that you'll be able to get rest, and trust in the Lord for all things.... Even when the storms of life or the roller coaster goes up and down....
We're all waiting for something, and I know these bumps in the road causes us to pray more, love more, and rely on God more daily...
Love... Mom and Diane
We're still praying hard Aunt Jeanette. Thank you again for keeping us up to date. Praying His peace on you.

This is too exciting! So glad to hear the latest progress, Friends! I have to say the n/j tube would make me nuts, too. His irritation simply shows he's coming to his senses. :)
Love you lots and pray for you all often,
Betsy & Lee
Dear Jeanette,
We will pray for rest for all of you (you must be exhausted!) and continued healing for Robert. We praise Him for His goodness and trust Him for His faithfulness! May He give you a "peace that surpasses understanding" as you cast all your care on Him, because He really does care for you--and so do we!
Blessings,
Mark and Kathleen
