I know I have been in the hospital too long when the sign on the restroom door made me pause and stare for awhile...it said in big letters, NOT FOR PATIENT USE. After straining my brain for a bit, I was quite confident I am not the patient, at least not yet, and went on in!!! It has been a busy morning. Robert was ready to put on his shorts and slippers this morning at 5:00 am...he wanted to be ready for the Physical Therapist to take him walking. I tried to get him to understand the physical therapist probably wasn't out of bed yet! Today he has seen the Diabetes nurse and the Speech Pathologist...the Physical therapist is headed this way. Robert is rejoicing that the n/j tube came out today. That was the last tube that was keeping him tethered - watch out! He is feeling like a free man!
God has been very gracious in answering our prayers for a turn around of his condition.
Thank our God for His loving kindness!

Wow!!!
The news just gets better and better and I love it!!!
Jeanette, I loved the way you've managed to compare the physical and spiritual bodies for life lessons you've learned......I'm glad you've written it down, this way you'll never forget it.
Robert, the best news we got was last night's phone call....it was what Mom and I have been waiting for....I loved the fact that you called again today...The Lord has surely answered many prayers.
Mom said that you need to call her everyday....She knows that God has given her son, total strength and stamina...and peace that only God can give...
Jeanette, Rosanna, and Robby...God has brought your family closer, and I pray that you continue to cherish each day as a new day that God has provided...Cherish the little accomplishments in each of your lives and how blessed you are that God has strengthen your Dad.
We love you dearly...and I'm praising the Lord for all your prayer warriors close and far, and those who've been there with you.
WE LOVE YOU... Mom and Diane

Jeanette and Robert;
I praise God for the positive progress in Robert's recovery it was great to talk with him. I will continue to pray for his strength. I received a great quote this morning from a devotional website that was a good reminder to me of Gods faithfullness to us.
"As we wait, we can fix our eyes on Jesus as a companion who empathizes with our suffering and a Savior who is working behind the scenes. Difficult circumstances seem to increase our ability to experience intimacy with Christ."
-Ruthann Ridley
I trust this experience your family is going will help us all realize what a Great and Awesome God we serve, He is control of every step we journey. Praise Him for His Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness and Love.
May God continue to bless you and keep you in His Peace.
In His Peace;

Hello Bob and family. My name is Rob Alvarez, and Bob and I went to school (GFU Grad School) together in the mid 90's. We professionally crossed paths again several years ago when I was a children's therapist with Marion County. I was able to go to Whiteaker and see Bob a few times.
I heard about Bob's medical issues last week through Bob Hammond whom I know through working at Marion County, and whose wife is the other school counselor at Whiteaker.
Bob, when I first heard about your medical issues, my family and I started praying for you and continue to do so. It sounds like God continues to touch you and take care of you, and we rejoice at His love for you. I trust you will receive this message soon. We are rejoicing with you on your recovery! If there is anything I can do, let me know.
Blessings to you and your family. I will visit this blog site often to learn when you are outta' there!
Thanks Jeanette for making this blogsite happen!
Sincerely, Rob Alvarez
